Composite panels; Final Installation
20120321
These panels were designed to cover a service riser in the staircase of a 7 stories office building along its stores up to the roof. The panels also can be used as partitions in different positions regarding their light weight and dry construction method.
The panel shape is based on Voronoi pattern and grasshopper Rhino plug-in and implemented on 50 ×50 frames. The main scheme has a dimension of 100×50. It has been divided into two 50×50 modules, later. These modules can be generalized to higher dimensions both in length and width. so a complex form can be made from original simple elements.
Two true scale samples have been carved out of gypsum blocks by CNC and molded by silicone resin. Sequent samples will be molded by light weight foam concrete. Adding different color and texture is also possible by changing ingredients. 300 panels have been made by this method.
